Emily Bett Rickards, born on the 24th of July, 1991 in Canada is a Canadian actor who is best recognized for her role as Felicity Smoak in The CW TV series Arrow. Rickards was born within British Columbia, is Canadian. Beginning on her career path as a child, she was introduced to musical theatre and dance, in the hopes of becoming more involved in acting. Following her early graduation from high school, she attended Vancouver Film School and completed acting essentials. Following the completion of the course, she took part in an open-call audition which led her to an agent for booking. Alida Vocal Studio taught her. The chemistry she shared with Stephen Amell, positive feedback from the audience, as well as her humorous remarks earned her an initial signing as a single-episode Guest Star.
